Llandinam Lives was originally the name of a series of events held in Llandinam in 2007,organised by Philip Freeman for the Species Habitat group. It encompassed history, culture and wildlife, and was an experiment in small scale tourism.
Subsequent development of the Species Habitat Group took it in a different direction,
(as you can see here, with great success ) and the
website became the vehicle for activities organised in conjunction with the centenary restoration project of Llandinam Village Hall, proncipally the Local History Fairs of 2013 & 2014 and associated activities.
One of those was the Then and Now project, where older members of the community described to the younger ones what it was like to live in wartime Britain, and even provided a sample of the food! It involved Llandinam WI, Llandinam County Primary School and Powysland Museum.
